A number of local companies rent rafts, canoes, kayaks, and tubes in the summer months, so choose a solo or guided trip with a local rafting expert. • Dive into the Blue Ridge Snorkel Trail at East LaPorte River Park. This unique, free underwater trail in western North Carolina’s rivers offers a glimpse into diverse aquatic life. Equipped with informative signs, the trail is accessible beginning early June.
